To change the gearbox oil of a Benelli Leoncino 500, start by lifting the motorcycle and making sure it is securely supported on a central stand or with side stands. Identify the gearbox drain plug, which is usually located on the bottom of the engine. Place a container under the plug to collect the old oil. Loosen and remove the drain plug with a suitable wrench, allowing the oil to drain completely into the container. Once all the oil has been drained, tighten the drain plug with a wrench. Next, locate the fill plug, usually located on the top of the gearbox. Remove this plug and use a funnel to pour the new oil into the gearbox. Make sure to use the type and quantity of oil recommended in the motorcycle manual. After filling the gearbox, replace the fill plug and tighten it securely. Start the engine and let the gearbox run for a few minutes to allow the oil to distribute evenly. Finally, check for any leaks and make sure everything is in order.
