Today we will go through the steps that will show us how to disassemble and replace the front brake pads on the BMW S1000 XR motorcycle. First, we place the motorcycle on the stand and start unscrewing the bolts that secure the brake caliper, so we can remove it from the disc; we remove the pad retainers and apply pressure to the piston, thereby removing the old pads, as shown in the video. At this point, we clean the caliper from any residual dirt and install the new original brake pads; we reattach the caliper to the disc, similarly replacing the other brake pads.
