In this tutorial, you will see how to change the engine oil in a BMW R1250 GS, a very simple and quick operation to be performed every 12 months. First, wait for the engine to cool sufficiently, then position a container underneath the bike, locate the drain plug, and unscrew it with a 10mm hex key. Allow all the oil in the system to drain out, remove the left side cover, and unscrew the filter using the appropriate tool.

At this point, simply tighten both the replacement part and the plug and add the required amount of oil.
