How do you reset the Service light on the BMW 3 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

The Service indicator that appears on the instrument panel of the BMW Series can be reset by turning on the instrument panel and holding down the button located to the left of the instrument panel. The button must be held down until the word "Reset" starts flashing: when this becomes flashing, you must release the button and press it again, making the indicator disappear completely from the screen. Once the indicator has disappeared, you must turn off and turn on the instrument panel to verify that the reset has occurred correctly.
