How to replace the gear knob in the BMW 5 Series?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the gear knob in the BMW 5 Series, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, let's go inside the cabin, then unclip the base of the cover from the console using preferably a plastic spatula, so as not to leave any marks. Then we grab the knob, pull it strongly upwards and remove it from the shaft. At this point, all that remains is to separate the cover from the old knob, if necessary, position the replacement and reassemble everything following exactly the reverse procedure.
