How to replace the gear shift knob of the BMW 5 Series

Today we will see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the knob of the manual gear lever of the BMW 5 Series. First of all, we get on board the car and start pulling the original knob upwards with force, in order to detach and remove it; then we proceed to replace, if necessary, also the gear shift boot. At this point, we install the new components, first reassembling the boot and then inserting the knob on the gear lever; make sure they are securely attached to the lever, possibly installing a clamp between the boot and the knob.
