In this tutorial, you will learn the main steps to remove and replace the automatic gear shift lever on the BMW 5 Series E60 and E61. First, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the cover of the center tunnel located on the gear shift lever; disconnect the electrical connectors underneath, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the screws securing the electronic gear shift lever and take out the entire assembly; simply replace it with the new part, applying the reverse procedure for reassembly!
