Front Door Panel Removal

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Before proceeding with the removal of the door panel, it is advisable to obtain plastic push clips (in case the original ones break), silicone, and disconnect the negative battery terminal (located in the rear hood) to avoid triggering warning lights.
Remove the protective caps covering the screws on the inner handle (one at the front and the other two along the lower edge) and detach the trim located just behind the opening lever.
Then, unscrew the 5 screws (3 from the handle and 2 under the trim) and use a plastic lever to release the push clips along the edges of the panel, pulling it upward to slide it out from the window scraper seal.
Once the panel is away from the door, flip it 180° and secure it to the door with a string (it is actually recommended to disconnect the connectors and the cable from the opening lever and remove it).
At this point, you can glue the edges of the soundproofing covering with silicone and/or masking tape.
