The following steps will guide you on how to remove and replace the window regulator mechanism on the BMW Series 1. First, open the front door of the vehicle and start removing the door panel by taking out the window switch and unscrewing all the fastening screws; then remove the inner door trim to access the window regulator mechanism.

At this point, unscrew the screws of the mechanism, removing the side glass; replace or repair the window regulator or motor, reassembling all components in order.

Finally, check the operation of the window regulator.
