How to Replace the Front Parking Sensors on a BMW 4 Series

Model: BMW Serie 4 G22, G23, G26, MK 2 - Years 2020-2026

This task seems easy but can be tricky because the bumper is full of sensors and delicate wiring: the new sensor must be the same part number, do not improvise with sensors from other models, but purchase an original replacement. You do NOT need to remove the bumper, but lift the car on a jack from the front; disconnect the battery, remove the underbody shield to access the sensor wiring leading to the connectors: mark the position of the broken sensor (so you can install the new one correctly), then disconnect the electrical connector, push the sensor from the inside out, insert the new sensor orienting it correctly, reinstall the shield, and lower the car. Reconnect the battery and perform a functionality test.
