Trunk Handle Repair

If you have difficulty opening the trunk, the repair is quite simple. You only need a screwdriver and a pair of needle-nose pliers.

Remove the screw that secures the plastic handle and gently pull it off, as the opening cable is attached behind it. The issue likely resides in the small return spring located on the back of the handle. Using the pliers, carefully lift this spring and reposition it in its original place.

To prevent future jams, you can lubricate the mechanism using silicone spray.
