Replace gear knob on BMW 3 Series

Disassembly of the damaged knob on a BMW 3 Series. We disassemble the knob and replace it with a new one. We take the knob in our hands and rotate it to the left and right until it is removed from the shift rod. We disassemble the leather cap frame if it is damaged. We assemble the new leather cap and block the clips (if disassembled), then, take the new knob and insert it into the rod on the central tunnel until it is tightened in the rod. Finally, we test the correct assembly of the knob with the movement of the rod on the central tunnel. The knob we are going to replace has two pieces.

How to Remove the Centre Console on a Renault Scenic

Watch this video to learn how to remove the glove compartment from the rear cover of the centre console on a Renault Scenic. Use a plastic lever to pry at the edge of the side plastics as shown in the video. Once the plastics are removed, unscrew the screws located at the sides of the centre console with a suitable screwdriver, and disconnect all the power connectors. Remove the side rests from the glove compartment. Fit the new piece onto the centre cover and proceed with the assembly of the remaining parts, working in reverse order.
