BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Engine
Operation: How to disassemble and clean the MAF sensor

This video illustrates the procedure for removing and cleaning the MAF (mass air flow) sensor of a BMW 3 series. Since the MAF is used to measure the amount of air that passes from the intake to the combustion chamber, it is necessary that it is cleaned periodically to avoid incorrect measurements and, consequently, lower engine performance. First you need to disconnect its electrical connection. With a nut wrench, loosen the bolts that secure the air box and, with a screwdriver, also loosen the clamp that secures it further. Extracted the air box, with a screwdriver, unclip the clips that lock the MAF and detach it manually. With a suitable detergent, begin to clean the sensor thoroughly, then let it dry in the air. Repeat the operation 3 or 4 times, until the piece is perfectly clean. After cleaning, proceed with the reassembly of the air box by carrying out the operations in reverse of the disassembly operations.

How do you adjust the clutch cable on the Kia Picanto?

To be able to adjust the clutch cable of the Kia Picanto you need to open the hood so that you have access to the components inside the engine compartment: in order to reach the cable you will need to remove some components on the right side, such as the battery and the air filter. Below them you will find the clutch cable, which will have to be adjusted by screwing or loosening the bolt placed at the end of the cable. This will make the pedal harder or softer; after the adjustment, it will be possible to assemble all the components by closing the hood.
