Here’s how to remove and replace the air temperature sensor on a BMW 3 Series: Open the hood, lift it, and secure it with the prop rod. Disconnect the sensor's power connector (if necessary, remove the air filter housing). Using a socket wrench, unscrew and remove the mass air flow sensor from its location. After comparing the damaged valve with the new one, install it onto the air intake hose in the engine compartment. Test the vehicle's proper operation after installing the temperature sensor and all associated parts.
