Replacing the gear knob on a BMW Z3

In this video tutorial, you will see how to remove the gear knob along with its gaiter on a BMW Z3. First, get inside the car and unclip the gear gaiter; then, remove the gear knob by pulling it upwards firmly, as shown in the video. If it does not come off easily, you may need to cut it off; then, if desired, replace the gaiter along with the new gear knob.

To fit it correctly, apply a tie wrap between the gaiter and the knob or use a sealant to hold it in place!
