How to Remove the Steering Wheel from a BMW Z3

Before you start, sit in the driver's seat of your BMW Z3 and rotate the steering wheel ninety degrees to the left to access the screws securing the airbag. Begin by unscrewing and removing these screws, then extract the airbag from its housing. Once you have removed the airbag, disconnect the relevant connector, and then remove the airbag itself. At this point, you will reach the nut that secures the steering wheel to the steering column, which you need to unscrew and remove. When you have completed this step, you can remove the steering wheel, successfully finishing the disassembly.
