How to Replace the Fuel Pump on a BMW 5 Series?

To replace the fuel pump on a BMW 5 Series, first, remove the bolts securing the plastic protective cover. Once removed, loosen the bolts that secure the lines to the pump, disconnect them, and let all fluids drain into a container placed under the lines. At this point, you can detach the pump and let its residual fluids drain into the container as well. Now, you can install the new pump, connect it to the connector, and reattach the lines. Finally, secure it with the appropriate bolts and reinstall the plastic protective cover.
