How to replace the service belt on the BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 E82, MK 1, E87, E81 - Years 2004-2013

In order to replace the service belt of the BMW 1 Series, it is necessary to loosen the screws that secure the air filter box, which is located in the upper part of the engine compartment. Once the box is removed, the service belt will be visible as it is located at the front of the engine. By loosening the central nut of the tensioner roller, it will be possible to loosen it and extract it completely. Once the old belt has been removed, it will be possible to replace it with a new spare part. After installing the new belt, you will be able to install all other removed parts as well.
