Removing the Auxiliary Belt Tensioner of the BMW 1 Series 1.5 Diesel

Today, we will go through the main steps to remove and replace the auxiliary belt tensioner of the BMW 1 Series with a 1.5 Diesel engine. First, open the bonnet and start removing the air filter box by unscrewing the screws on the sides; then loosen the auxiliary belt tensioner to remove the belt itself, as shown in the video. At this point, unscrew the nuts of the tensioner using a socket spanner, remove it, and replace it with the new one; finally, refit the new belt!
