How to replace the air filter on a BMW 1 Series E87

To change the air filter located in the engine compartment of your BMW 1 Series E87, carefully read the following mini-guide and follow the instructions. First, ensure the car is completely off and the engine is sufficiently cool. Then, open the bonnet and locate the entire filter block on the right side. Unscrew all the screws holding the block in place and disconnect the connector to remove it completely. At this point, access the old air filter and replace it with a new one. Finally, reposition the entire block correctly, re-screw the screws, and reconnect the electrical connector.
