Today, follow these simple steps to replace the engine air filter in a BMW 1 Series. First, open the bonnet and use a flat screwdriver to remove the screw from the intake hose clamp; then disconnect it and pull out the air filter housing, releasing it from the side tabs.

At this point, extract the old air filter and replace it with the new one, ensuring it is the correct model; it is essential to insert the air filter in the correct orientation. Finally, refit the air filter housing cover and reattach the intake hose!
