Reset the Service Light on BMW 5 Series E61

Hello! It often happens that you perform a service on your car but then cannot reset the service light. Today, I will explain how to reset your BMW 5 Series E60/E61 in just a few steps. First, get in the car, insert the key into the ignition, and turn it to the 'on' position. Wait for all the lights to turn off, then press the button located at the bottom left of the instrument cluster and hold it for a few seconds until the service menu (triangle with an exclamation point) appears. Now that the service menu is open, release the button and press it multiple times until the oil can symbol appears. Hold the button on the oil can symbol until 'reset' shows up, release it for a moment, and press it again. Now your service interval will be reset to 30,000 miles.
