After performing the maintenance, you need to reset the service light. Today, I will explain how to restore the service light on a 2007 BMW 5 Series model E61, a task you can do yourself.

The first step is to turn on the vehicle's ignition and press the button on the tachometer. The second step is to hold the button until the maintenance light appears on the display, release the button, and then press it again until the word RESET appears on the display.

Release the button to press it a second time, and finally, turn off the ignition.
