Securing the Electric Fan with a Standard Wrench

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Key

The electric fan of the cooling system is secured to the shaft with a nut. To remove or install it, a specially shaped wrench is available, but you can also use a standard wrench. However, to fit it in the tight spaces between the engine and the fan, you need to make a notch in the plastic shroud of the fan. If it's your vehicle, decide for yourself whether to make this modification to the cover. If it's a customer's vehicle, discuss it with them before cutting.

How do you replace the cabin filter (pollen filter) located in a Peugeot 207? Follow these steps to remove the filter from its dedicated housing: use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws of the plastic cover located under the front windscreen, then remove the filter cover using a lever (where the air filter is located). Use a screwdriver to remove the cap from the filter housing and extract the cabin filter. Insert a new filter ensuring it fits snugly around the walls of the box. Finally, reattach the filter box cap and tighten the screws. Close the engine bonnet after assembly.
