Information on the Traction Control or ABS System

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Control unit

The ABS sensor system or traction control system prevents wheel lockup during braking, allowing the vehicle to maintain stability during braking even in the most adverse conditions. ABS sensors are located in both front wheels, and one sensor is situated near the rear axle. The sensor consists of two parts: a rotor and a stator. The rotor is on the rotating part and resembles a gear, while the stator is an electromagnetic coil with a magnet. When the wheel turns, the sensor generates electrical pulses, the number of which indicates the rotation speed.

How to Replace the Interior Light Bulbs on a Jeep Renegade

Let’s see how to replace the damaged bulbs in the interior light of a Jeep Renegade. Use a screwdriver to pry between the interior light and the headlining panel (without breaking the panel), pull the interior light out from the panel and disconnect the power connector. Replace the damaged bulbs with new ones (same size and voltage). Refit the interior light into its housing (push the clear plastic with your hands until the clips are fully engaged in the side plastic). Test the correct operation of the bulbs in the interior light after installation.
