How to Replace the Key Battery in a BMW 5 Series

Model: BMW Serie 5 F11, F10 - Years 2010-2017
Part: Key

Start by pressing the button on the back of the key to unlock the emergency key, then remove it. Once this step is complete, insert the tip of a small flathead screwdriver into the slot on the top of the key and pry it open. This will remove the cover of the dead battery, which you will take out of its housing. Next, to install the new battery and close the key, simply follow these instructions in reverse. This way, you will successfully complete the replacement.
