Replacing the Hood on a BMW Z3

Model: BMW Z3 MK 1 - Years 1995-2002
Part: Convertible top

With the car roof down, remove the two small hydraulic covers on either side. Behind the seats, move the fabric and remove the cover caps. With the car now covered, unscrew the numerous fastening screws of the hood (all are 10 mm screws, there should be 18 bolts). With the hood retracted, you will notice the screws that secure the upper protective plastic: unscrew them and remove the plastic. At this point, if you have unscrewed all the screws securing the hood to the supporting structure, you can detach the hood from the structure, as shown in the video. Proceed in reverse to fit the new one.
