Mirror Cap Replacement on BMW 1 Series

Model: BMW Serie 1 MK 2, F20, F21 - Years 2011-2019

Using a plastic lever (not metal!) or a small flat screwdriver, pry out the mirror glass by levering all around. At this point, you do not necessarily need to disconnect the two electrical wires and completely remove the glass; you can simply rest it against the door and proceed to remove the cap. To do this, work with the small flat screwdriver on the three clips that secure it inside the mirror. Similarly, to install the new cap, simply clip the aforementioned clips into place.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
