How to Replace the Key Fob Battery for the BMW X6 E71

This guide shows how to replace the battery in the key fob for the BMW X6 E71. If the vehicle is equipped with a two-sided key fob, first remove the mechanical key, then open each side of the fob using a small flathead screwdriver. At this point, you can take out the circuit board and replace the battery by desoldering the two securing pins of the module. For this last operation, you will need a small soldering iron. By heating the solder on the battery harness pins, you can remove it and replace the battery.
