Installing the Car Alternator

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Alternator

To remove the alternator, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, remove the belt, and locate and disconnect each electrical connection, including connectors, on the alternator. Next, remove any peripheral components that obstruct access to the alternator's mounting bolts. Once the bolts are removed, you can slide out the alternator. Sometimes, you may need to wiggle it a bit to free it from its mounting brackets. Be careful when removing it, as it can be quite heavy. To install the alternator, simply reverse the procedure.
