How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 1 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 1 E81, E82, MK 1, E87 - Years 2004-2013
Part: Warning light – error code

Turn on the instrument panel by pressing the ignition button once. Now, press and hold the button on the instrument panel until you see the oil level icon. Next, using the left indicator stalk, reset the service light. Keep the button marked BC pressed, and after a countdown of a few seconds, the operation will be complete. At the next restart, the expired service warning will have disappeared. According to the manufacturer's time and mileage indications, the warning will reappear to remind you to service your BMW 1 Series.
