In this tutorial, learn how to remove and replace the rear wheel bearing on a BMW 5 Series E28, second generation. First, lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheel; then, remove the rear brake caliper by unscrewing the bolts, and disconnect the rear axle from the wheel bearing. At this point, use a bearing puller to remove the old bearing; now, clean the bearing seat thoroughly to install the new one. Center the new bearing and tap it in with a soft material until it is fully seated; finally, install the metal circlip.
