How to Remove the Steering Wheel and Airbag on a BMW 3 Series

A very simple method to remove the steering wheel and airbag on the BMW 3 Series, using just a screwdriver and a pen. Insert these two tools into the holes located behind the steering wheel, as shown in the video. When both are in place, press them simultaneously. The airbag will lift, allowing you to remove the entire assembly. At this point, to remove the steering wheel, simply disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the center bolt. Mark this bolt with a marker to ensure you tighten it to the correct initial tension. If you want to remove the steering wheel controls as well, there are three Torx screws behind each side that will allow you to slide them out by disconnecting the electrical parts.
