In this video tutorial, you will see how to replace the remote battery on a BMW Ix. The first thing to do is buy a new CR 2032 3V battery. The remote in question has 4 buttons. Turn the key and press the button located on the back to remove the grey plastic cover; once the grey plastic cover is removed, you will also find the metal key (blade) here. To extract the battery, simply pull the battery housing with two fingers. Once the battery and its housing are removed, replace the old battery with the new one. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.
