Disassemble the External Rearview Mirror

Once you remove the external rearview mirror from the door, you can completely disassemble it by separating all its components: start by disconnecting the mirror from its support by pulling it forward enough to then disconnect the power wires for the defrosting system; then remove the mirror support that houses the motor and adjustment mechanism; next, detach the cover, the external support plate, and then the hinge that allows the mirror to close, pulling out the corresponding wiring.
