How to Remove and Install the Door Airbag of a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Airbag

Want to remove the side airbag from your BMW's door and don't know how? Don't worry, let's see together in this video how to proceed. Before starting the disassembly work, disconnect the battery terminals. If you can't find it, don't be afraid; in your BMW, it is located in the rear hood, not the front like in most cars. Using a Torx 20 screwdriver, unscrew the internal door handle, being careful not to scratch it. Remove the large clip with a plastic spatula, unscrew the screw located in the slot, and once removed, also unscrew the one for the internal door opening lever. Detach the door panel, disconnect the window regulator and speaker connectors. Don't lose any of the clips behind the plastic panel that you removed first. Now that we have the door panel in our hands, unscrew the small speakers to detach the door handle, then peel off the door covering and remove the airbag fixed to the door. To perform the installation, proceed in reverse.
