To reset the automatic gearbox on BMW, connect a diagnostic tool to the vehicle's OBD port: this port is located at the lower left part of the dashboard near the steering column. Once the scanner is connected, select the model of the car in question and its corresponding version: then proceed by following all the instructions provided in the tutorial to restore the automatic gearbox.

Finally, disconnect the scanner to verify that everything is functioning.
