Buick Verano - Video tutorial

Model: Buick Verano MK 1 - Years 2010-2017
Part: Engine oil
Operation: How to change the engine oil in a Buick Verano

In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to change the engine oil in a Buick Verano, following a few simple steps: the first thing we need to do is to buy a new oil filter and engine oil from a dealer authorized (refer to the vehicle use and maintenance manual). Get in the car, turn off the car and apply the handbrake; jack up the car and put safety stands under the car. Place a container to collect the used oil under the oil pan and use a 15 mm socket wrench, ratchet to unscrew the oil drain plug; wait for all the oil to drain into the container, then screw the oil drain plug back on. Unscrew the old oil filter with a special filter wrench, and replace the filter with a new one, screwing it in by hand just enough. Lower the car and raise the engine hood to top up the new oil using a funnel.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
