How to Change the Engine Oil in a Buick Verano

In this video tutorial, see how to change the engine oil in a Buick Verano by following some simple steps: first, purchase a new oil filter and engine oil from an authorized dealer (refer to the vehicle's owner's manual). Get inside the vehicle, turn off the car, and engage the parking brake; lift the car using a jack and place jack stands under the vehicle. Position a container to catch the used oil under the oil pan and use a 15 mm socket wrench to remove the oil drain plug; wait for all the oil to drain into the container, then reinstall the oil drain plug. Remove the old oil filter with a special filter wrench, and replace it with a new one, tightening it by hand as needed. Lower the car and lift the hood to refill the new oil using a funnel.
