The first thing to do is purchase a CR 2032 battery; press the button on the remote to extract the emergency key; once the emergency key is out, use your fingers to pry open the remote shell; once the remote shell is open, you will see the remote battery housed inside; use a small flathead screwdriver to pry out the battery from its compartment; replace it with a working one and reassemble the key by reversing the steps.
