To replace the shift knob on a Buick Verano, use a tool to pry off the plastic cover at the base of the shift lever. Once the retaining clips are released, lift the boot to access the clip that connects the knob to the boot.

After removing this, pull off the knob and then the boot. This will allow you to install and secure the new replacement parts.
