How to Reset the Service Light on a Chevrolet Captiva

To reset the service light on a first-generation Chevrolet Captiva, get inside the vehicle and insert the key into the ignition. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Within a few seconds, fully press the accelerator pedal twice, pressing it to the floor and releasing it between presses. After the two presses, wait a moment without touching anything: the system will automatically start the maintenance interval reset procedure. Once completed, turn off the ignition and wait a few seconds. Then turn the ignition back on to verify that the service light has disappeared from the display and that the reset has been successfully completed.
