How to Remove Gear Knob on Cruze

How do you remove the gear knob on the Chevrolet Cruze? Remove the knob to replace it or to change the leather gaiter covering the shaft. Hold the knob in your hands and rotate it left and right until you can remove it from the gear stick. Use a plastic lever to detach the frame of the leather gaiter (if being replaced). Fit the new leather gaiter using the clips (if removed), then take the new knob and slide it onto the shaft in the centre console until it is secured. Check the proper tightening of the knob onto the gear stick at the end of the installation.
