Instructions for Removing the Rear Headlamp

Model: Chevrolet Cruze MK 1, J300 - Years 2009-2015

Removing the rear lamp is extremely simple and does not require special tools; once the rear bonnet is opened, remove the protective caps from the screws securing the lamp, located on the inner edge; after removing the caps, unscrew the underlying screws; then remove the pressure clip of the carpeted inner trim just behind the lamp, inside the boot, move the trim away and disconnect the power connector of the lamp and the grommet; then pull the lamp outwards: the video shows two effective techniques to avoid damaging the lamp, namely using a piece of string or a plastic lever. Once the lamp is removed, you can replace the bulbs by releasing the bulb holder (bayonet fitting) and extracting the bulbs (T5 fitting). To replace the brake lights located on the bonnet, simply release the pressure clips and move the carpeted trim.
