To replace the battery in a Chevrolet Equinox, open the hood to access the engine compartment and locate the battery cover near the left front headlight. Once the cover is removed, disconnect the terminals on the top of the battery and loosen the bolts securing it in place. After removal, insert the new battery, connect it to the corresponding terminals, secure it with the appropriate bolts, and protect it with the cover.
