How to Change the Car Battery

Model: Chrysler Sebring St22, JR - Years 2000-2006

First, lift the car with a jack to remove the front left wheel. After removing the wheel, unscrew the screws that secure the inner plastic of the wheel arch that protects the battery housing. Once the battery is visible, unscrew the nuts connecting the cables to the terminals. Unscrew the two nuts that secure the metal bar holding the battery in place and remove the battery from its housing by levering it out with your hands. To install the new battery, reverse the steps: place the battery in its housing, position the nuts on the two terminals, and tighten them. Reposition and screw in the metal bar that secures the battery, then replace the inner plastic of the wheel arch that protects the battery housing. Refit the front left wheel and lower the jack. The car is a Chrysler Sebring.
