How to remove the handbrake of the Citroen C4 Picasso

The electric handbrake of the Citroen C4 Picasso must be deactivated to start the vehicle; to do this, we must push the button/lever with the "P" symbol inward. Once the button is turned off, the message "HAND BRAKE DEACTIVATED" will appear on the instrument cluster display. To engage the handbrake after parking, press the button/lever outward, the button will turn red and the message "HAND BRAKE ACTIVE" will appear on the instrument cluster display. These steps can be performed on all vehicles with an electric handbrake.
