How to replace the steering head of the Citroen Berlingo II.

In this video, we will see how to replace the steering head of the Citroen Berlingo II: we will need to lift the front part of the vehicle and remove the wheels; once this is done, we can access the steering head. We will need to clean the components with a wire brush and some penetrating oil: we will need to make a mark with a marker between the tie rod and the steering head, as it will be useful for reassembly. Now, we unscrew the sealing screw and with the help of a hammer, detach the screw from the pin, then unscrew the steering head, counting the number of turns required to do so. We examine the distance between the lock nut and the tie rod, so that we can put the lock nut back at the same distance, and then put the steering head back in place, making the same number of turns that were needed to unscrew it. We put the steering head back on the pin and tighten the new nut to 35 Nm. We screw the nut back on the tie rod side and reassemble the wheel. We can also lower the vehicle: job done.
