The C3 comes equipped with ESP system as standard, which intervenes to correct any skidding or loss of grip, maintaining control during emergency braking, tight high-speed corners, and slippery surfaces. However, it is designed to be an urban and family vehicle, so it does not have a sporty setup and tends to lean slightly in curves, but remains manageable. The steering is light and precise for city driving, but may lack feedback in more dynamic situations. In EuroNCAP tests, it obtained a 5-star maximum score, including evaluations on active and passive safety and driver assistance systems. On wet roads, with standard tires, it maintains good grip; on rough roads, being a crossover, it has a higher ground clearance compared to a traditional car, which improves stability on dirt or bumpy roads. The brakes are adequate for the size and weight of the vehicle, with good feeling even in case of sudden braking.
