Removal of Hydraulic Steering Box

Model: Citroen Saxo MK 1 - Years 1996-2004
Part: Electric power steering motor

Disconnect the battery terminals and their respective mounting brackets to remove it from its location.
Remove the air intake hoses complete with filter.
Just below the air hose you have just removed, locate the nuts and bolts securing the steering box: unscrew the nut at the tie rod and the bolt located immediately behind it.
Rotate the assembly to remove the bolt securing the steering rack.
At this point, remove the universal joint connecting the steering column to the steering box (under the pedal box): once the joint is removed, take care not to rotate the steering wheel to avoid damaging the opposing ring (airbag tape).
Finally, remove the tie rod and clutch cable to extract the box: take care not to excessively deform the rigid oil lines.
