How to Change the Air Filter on the Citroen C3

On the Citroen C3, replacing the engine air filter is done from the engine bay and requires access to the plastic filter box. Work with the engine off and cold, park on a flat surface, and open the bonnet. Locate the air filter box and clear the area of any hoses or covers that may prevent you from lifting the lid without strain. Unlock the clips or screws of the filter box (depending on the version), then lift the lid just enough to remove the used filter. Before inserting the replacement, check that there are no leaves or dust in the housing and clean gently without pushing dirt towards the intake duct. Insert the new filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly and sits evenly around the perimeter. Close the filter box and restore all clips, verifying that the lid is seated evenly and that there are no gaps. Refit anything you moved to gain access, then start the engine and perform a quick check.
